Course Content
Slinger's responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act, 1974
Inspection and selection of lifting equipment and the sections of LOLER 1998 relating to
lifting equipment
Weight estimation.
Safety regulations applicable to the use of cranes and slings.
A room suitable for lecturing where theoretical tuition can be presented, chairs and desk for the use by the trainees and instructor would be appreciated. Access and use of the equipment (any type of crane, hiab, etc. & a selection of loads, slings etc.) will be required for the practical training and test for all candidates, the course duration is a guide, training will be determined by the candidates needs and may be subject to shortened or extended period.
